This generously sized silk chiffon scarf may be used as a wrap over your shoulders, or twisted and tied in numerous ways to be a versatile accessory. It would add beautiful color to a neutral outfit and work well both casual or dressy. In painting this scarf, I folded it in half and then applied soy wax and French dyes through both layers of silk. This creates a symmetracal effect so that the two sides are the same. This scarf has an extra bonus. There are small seed beads sewn into the hand-rolled hem. This is a true statement piece of wearable art.
I recommend that this scarf be dry cleaned or follow washing instructions: Hand wash this scarf in cold water and mild detergent or shampoo. Gently wring out at the water after rinsing the soap out and immediately blot in a towel. Do not let the silk scarf sit and soak. Iron the damp silk scarf on a cool setting.
